New arrival gorgeous peachy faded rose print floral late Edwardian gown. Aternoon lingerie dress ( name of the materials not the dress) Dotted Swiss voile cotton. This dress was very much in vogue and meant to embody a soft leisured femininity for at home entertaining. Scattered foxing. This dress is right at the end of the Edwardian era, when fashion was shifting from the curves S bend and pigeon front to a softer silhouette. Classic column shaped. Flat double sailor Peter Pan collar in peach silk. Covered buttons.Sheer yoke. It's rare to find these with a floral motif. It has silk around the neckline which is starting to shatter typical of a 110 year old cotton garment. Other than the silk which is easily replaceable or worn as is this dress is totally wearable. It is one of my smaller pieces XS. Extreme close ups to show any damage and photo before ironing. Bobbin lace cuffs no under arm staining made a slight repair not sure. Over all good condition except collar a unusual.
