Circa 1900's Gibson Girl

Sheer off white gauzy cotton organdy woven feel pink black striped design and black velvet ribbon bow trim accents. It's off the shoulder look was risqué. I think this belonged to someone who was wealthy. No tags but looks custom. I've shown on the model backward on the blouse. Can be worn either way. It does tie at the waist and is adjustable off the shoulder ruched ruffle flounce low scoop neckline bodice, 3/4 length puffed sleeves, a single hook closure with adjustable drawstring waist and is sheer, unlined.

The Blouse 18 inches long, with a 34 inch chest and 34 inch waist. Quite roomy. We oped the bottom of the arm to fit as it was small getting your hands thru. This is actually loose on me. The blouse is very wearable. The skirt has a very small waist. I could have re-worked but decided to keep authentic. My favorite part!!.....Ribbon strap on the back to hold up carry, black velvet bow trim sewn onto the white organdy fabric midsection, a fitted waistband with back hook closure and is sheer, unlined. The skirt measures 39 inches long in the front, 54 inches long in the back, with a 22 inch waist and 36 inch hips. I feel like this is in good condition it does have some braking at the hip. Due to it being organdy it does not bother me . It looks like something we would do on purpose. It's a skim looking affect. Being sold as found as-is well over 100 years old faint discoloration underarm, several frayed splits on the skirt which has been reinforced in a white muslin gauze backing underneath in the midsection. Beautiful black velvet bows.
