Description

Edwardian/early 20's vintage white net raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery filet lace shift dress 1920s. It is made of a white sheer net fabric with pintuck pleated details, a densely done heavy white raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work of flowers and a fine hand woven filet needle cutwork lace trim edging. This lovely lace loose fitting drop waist shift dress has layered side skirt panels, short sleeves with an uneven asymmetrical handkerchief cuff, snap closures on one shoulder and is sheer, unlined. The dress measures 48 inches long, with a 40 inch chest, 40 inch waist, 48 inch hips and a 16 inch back. It is in good condition, with several tiny pin holes. We did a few repairs as with all vintage for the most part there are imperfections.a few mended repairs. It has a small hole on the bottom hemline which can easily be hand sewn. Just wear a white slip and all is well. I love that this is a wearable size.
